Much of the time, when strep is hanging around in the system, it’s due to past antibiotic use or antibiotics inherited through the family line. Because strep is a type of bacterium, antibiotics seem like the obvious choice to treat it.
Strep used to be one strain of bacterium and it was much more forgiving than superbugs like MRSA. But over decades and decades of being a victim of antibiotics, strep found a way to survive: to adapt. Adaptation didn’t just mean getting stronger. It meant mutating and spawning different strains and varieties, each one able to defend itself against stronger medications.
Strep is resistant to many varieties of antibiotics. So as we move through the various infections that can occur in life, from those first ear infections to respiratory infections to sinus infections and beyond, with antibiotics prescribed continually for their treatment, the strep in our bodies becomes immune—and can even strengthen over time.
Strep has also learned to use antibiotics as fuel, feeding on antibiotic ingredients including refined petroleum, plastics, and GMO corn. So strep feeds itself off the very treatment meant to kill bacteria.
Antibiotics don’t just disappear from your system once you’ve finished a round of them. They stick around and get stored inside your liver, giving strep continual fuel.
If you think you’ve never consumed an antibiotic and neither has anyone in your family line, think again. Have both you and your ancestors never, not once in your lives, consumed a piece of regular chicken? A hamburger at a chain restaurant? A conventional turkey at someone’s house on Thanksgiving? These are all sources that are regularly pumped through with antibiotics.
There’s a place for antibiotics in today’s world of medicine. There are emergency situations that call for them. The goal is to strengthen the immune system and avoid emergency situations as best we can so antibiotics aren’t needed in the first place. Medical Medium information, tools, protocols, and cleanses can also help you to kill off strep and cleanse out the storage bins of toxins inside your liver.
