Watch: Broccoli Greens
Broccoli Greens
There are very few leafy greens, including cruciferous leafy greens, that are high in vitamin C. Broccoli greens (sometimes called broccoli leaves) possess high quantities of this precious antioxidant vitamin. Broccoli greens eaten raw will give you the most available vitamin C, versus eating them steamed or cooked.
Cruciferous greens slow down bone loss and provide easily bioavailable, assimilable forms of calcium to help restore bones and teeth. All cruciferous greens are helpful for the thyroid—in protecting the thyroid, restoring the thyroid, and even reducing nodules that so many live with. The antiviral and antibacterial properties of cruciferous greens are nothing to shake a stick at.
Cruciferous greens should never be taken for granted. Their value is immensely helpful for a human body that’s gone through a lot of wear and tear and is compromised from symptoms and diseases.
