Derms of Static

Derms of static are a variety of rogue derms. They were first herd-seeking souls, weak souls that are not demons yet, that have to cobble on top of each other to build strength and wreak havoc.

Some herd-seeking souls strengthen, start making advancements forward in leading packs of herd-seeking souls. Derms of static are herd-seeking soul leaders of the pack going to the dark side, breaking away from the pack through sizable energy. They usually leave in twos and threes. Herd-seeking soul pack leaders gain strength from consuming other herd-seeking souls. It's to prove their evil intentions.

Derms of static don't have the full-fledged power of fallen soul derms. They are mostly a kind of run-of-the-mill, small demon. Derms of static still can cause some trouble. They become troublemakers because they stay in their small breakaway groups.

Derms of static try to impress full-fledged demons. They are trying to build on themselves and accrue winnings through deeds that have an effect on human lives. Yet derms of static's antics and trickery with people are not as serious as full-fledged demons'. They make mistakes, they don't do good work in the demon field, and they create static and interference. They even get in the way of other demons' work accidentally.

Even though they don't have a lot of power, derms of static are part of what makes up the noise that can be in someone's head or can interfere with people and decisions. They try to interfere and get in the way of angels and their work, which is laughable. They try to throw somebody's consciousness into confusion for a short amount of time. They hover near people, creating and elevating static so people end up recycling thoughts continuously. Derms of static clog up the frequency airwaves, the ether. Their souls can never be retrieved again or be in human form again, never get a second or third chance in Light. Whereas herd-seeking souls have a chance of coming back again, derms of static are trapped souls that now work for darkness, yet their purpose isn't even truly meaningful.
