Medical communities don’t know that strains of the shingles virus are responsible for almost all cases of colitis, which is a condition that causes severe inflammation and bleeding in the inner lining of the colon. Colitis symptoms include intestinal pain, blood in the stool, weakness, and weight loss.
Medical research and science don’t yet know that there isn’t merely one type of shingles virus, but 31 varieties and counting, and all but one are still undiscovered. This matters because different types of shingles cause different symptoms and conditions, including colitis.
Colitis has always been a mystery illness and will continue to be so until medical research reveals that it’s a variety of shingles. Society is three to four decades away from learning this truth.
Medical research and science believe colitis is an autoimmune condition where the immune system is attacking the lining of the colon, causing inflammation. This belief means that doctors typically try to treat colitis with immunosuppressant drugs or antibiotics, which make the virus stronger. Steroids can put colitis in remission, but because the drugs don’t address the shingles itself, the remission tends not to last.
To heal colitis, the shingles virus needs to be addressed by avoiding certain foods that feed the virus, bringing in the right healing foods, and taking specific supplements to knock down the virus and heal damage the virus has caused in the body. You can find out more about how to heal in the New York Times best-selling book, Medical Medium Revised and Expanded.
